In this sermon, we will reflect on what it means for the Church to be "Holistic."

Being holistic means recognizing that every part of life matters, and is integrated.

We can not neatly separate our lives into a "spiritual" part (worship, devotion, and prayer), that is separate from the rest of our lives. Our physical world and our physical bodies matter to God. Our intellectual lives matter. Our emotions matter. Our relationships matter. Our creativity matters. Not only do they matter, they are connected!

God desires to heal and restore our lives, and for our entire lives to be oriented in the way of Jesus.

This is so important for our world today as we wrestle with issues of injustice, poverty, the environment, sexism, racism, and division between groups of people.
