Shelby shares her story of how she was a shy person in college who decided to write a poem a day for a year and share them anonymously, to deciding to step into the identity she wanted to embody as an author and claim ownership of her talents. She went from being anonymous to having over 500,000 followers on social media within the past 7 years! What are you shy about sharing with others that they might love? How can you become more visible in your field of expertise or with your talents?
We also talk about the main subject of her poetry, which revolves around mental health and self-love. We talk about those for a little and I actually share a poem that comes to me in the moment as we're recording. How can you trust yourself and your abilities and talents more?
