Ever been frustrated because you needed support and had people around but still had the void? Or felt you have given your all in being there for someone but they seem not to appreciate or be satisfied by your efforts? I've learnt that support is not a one size fits all and it matters when it counts, and 'its counting', is qualified by meeting aligned expectations from those in need of support. However to know, how to make it count, there must be clear and timely communication between you and who you are supporting and/or who you expect support from. It cannot be assumed or expected without communication.
