We begin a short two-part series reflecting on death, and in this first part we look at the circumstances that led to Paul's eventual imprisonment- his own type of lockdown, and at his contention, that - 'to be with Christ is far better'. The Jews, having conspired against him- Paul knew that death could lie at the end of the persecution he was going through. He didn't however indulge in self-pity, but believed that whatever happened to him, events would turn out for the furtherance of the gospel, and being sure of his salvation, he was going ultimately to glory.
