CMDCM (SW/AW/FM) James G. Parlier is a 28-year U.S. Navy veteran, Master Chief Hospital Corpsman, and Command Master Chief. He served in Beirut, Desert Shield, and Desert Storm, earning 3 Combat Action Ribbons. He deployed aboard USS Nimitz, USS Roosevelt, and USS COLE—where he led during the tragic 2000 terrorist attack and received commendations for heroic leadership. His assignments included Naval Special Warfare in Scotland and senior leadership at Naval Hospitals in Pensacola, Patuxent River, and Sigonella. He served as Command Master Chief at USS COLE, Navy Region Midwest, and Naval Station Great Lakes, supporting 114,000+ sailors. A Senior Enlisted Academy graduate (Class 69, Gold), he earned the Meritorious Service Medal, 3 Navy Commendations, and 3 Navy Achievement Medals. Now a photographer, veteran volunteer, and CVMA® 15-12 member, he lives in Calabash, NC with his wife Nelle and their five children.
