Bel Aviv is the new project from NYC’s Karen Kanan Correa and Sivan Harlap, whose 00’s band Demander was a staple of the local scene (their later projects Futurebrite, Writer and Dams of the West kept things rockin’ as well). Now, as they prepare the debut Bel Aviv EP alongside Frightened Rabbit’s Andy Monaghan, the band dropped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to share what they appropriately call “breakup beach songs” for this session.
