In this series on belief, we look at the Old Testament scripture in Jeremiah 29:11 where we read the declaration of God's fixed intention for our future. He states that our future has has peace and prosperity, and not calamity. These words were written to a people forced to live in a place called Babylon, which translates as "confusion." Like the recipients of this letter, we often can find our lives in moments of confusion and distress while we are waiting upon the provision of the Lord. Jeremiah 29:11 stands out as a powerful promise in the midst of a challenging times to remind us of God's faithful nature and unwavering plan. Let these words work deep into our hearts so that we will remain strong in faith as we look toward our destiny.
