In this week's lesson, Minister Aaron Hill continues his series on the gospel of John by wrapping up chapter 12. At this point, Jesus has done many signs and wonders, and yet many of the Jews cannot believe in Him. It's not just that they do not; they cannot. Why? How can this be? John records as Jesus quotes from Isaiah. Isaiah tells of a rebellious people. Their hearts have become hard, but God works through Israel's rebellion to bring about salvation through Christ. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
