Belief: Person vs Character

Listen Later

be·lief

noun

  1. an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists.
    • "his belief in the value of hard work"
    •     2. trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something.

      • "I've still got belief in myself"

      • Most people use the wrong definition when talking about God. Belief in God shouldn't be understood to mean "I think he exists," (as the truth of his existence is knowable). Instead, belief in God should be understood to mean "I trust in God to do the right thing and to have good reasons for what I experience."
