God is sovereign over every season of our lives, and He makes everything beautiful in its time. Just as a skillet develops its seasoning through repeated cycles of oil and heat, our faith is deepened through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and the refining fire of God throughout our seasons of life.

Hard seasons are an unavoidable part of life, and yet they do not have to be moments we endure alone or without direction. Drawing from the raw and honest words of Lamentations 3:21-26, we explore what it looks like to dare to hope when everything around us feels like it is falling apart.

Throughout the ministry of Jesus, one pattern emerges so consistently that it is almost impossible to miss. Jesus was always around food. This was not coincidence, it was by design. There is something sacred that happens when people gather around a meal. The plates get cleared, the conversation deepens, and suddenly people are sharing things they would never say in a formal setting. Guards come down, hearts open, and transformation begins. Hospitality, as Jesus modeled it, is not about having the nicest home or the most elaborate spread -- it is a posture of the heart that says, 'I see you, and you matter.'

What does it mean to truly belong? That question sits at the heart of this message, and the answer runs deeper than we might expect. In Psalm 92, we are reminded that the righteous do not simply survive - they flourish, but only when they are planted. God did not design us to wander alone through our spiritual lives. He designed us to be rooted in a spiritual family, a local church, where real growth happens through real relationships. When we plant ourselves in a spiritual family, we find the love, the accountability, and the belonging that we were created for.
