Belkin Portable Power Banks and Wireless Charging Stands Overheat

Their lithium-ion batteries overheat and create serious fire and burn hazards. Affected are model numbers MMA008 charging stands with serial numbers starting with 57X, BPB002 power banks with serial numbers starting with 35S, and all PB0003. 


About 83,500 powerbanks  were sold in the US, and about 2,385 were sold in Canada at Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and other retailers, and online at Belkin.com, Amazon.com, and Tiktok from August 2020 through August 2025.


Stop recharging and using these power banks and charging stands right away. To obtain a refund or store credit and for more information, contact Belkin at 1-800-223-5546 or via the appropriate email [email protected] or [email protected].  You’ll be asked to submit photos of the front and back of the product along with a recall submission form. A full refund will be provided with a receipt; without a receipt you will receive the average sales price. You’ll also have the option of choosing a Belkin store credit worth 20 percent more than the average sales price. 


These lithium-ion devices cannot be safely thrown in the trash or placed in regular recycling. Contact you local household hazardous waste collection center to determine whether it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries.
