In this edition we catch up with ex Whitstable Town manager Jim Ward, he says that in his younger days he was lucky enough to play with Peter Lorimer and other really good footballer’s Born and raised in Dundee then moved down to England and joined the RAF in 1967.
He moved around a couple times, played for Milton Keynes City who were a really good side but they fell on hard times, saying he enjoyed his football but believes that he has been a ‘better manager than a player.’ Jim speaks about settling in Thanet, his start in management with Margate reserves and his time at Herne Bay, and the good times he enjoyed at Whitstable and Ramsgate which Jim looks upon as his home town club.
