Ben served in the United States Air Force as a aircraft mechanic, shortly after his service, he transitioned to the world of wildland fire... He's been in fire for about 4 years and is one of the recent recipients of The Smokey Generation and Mystery Ranch's grants for his work in 35mm digitized photography and writing!
