Ben Handler and Simon Cohen started the company in 2009 with only $5,000 in Ben's bedroom, as they identified an imbalance in the Australian property market. While there are real estate agents representing the seller, there was no one representing the buyer in the purchase process. They have also launched AuctionWiz, a new platform powered by buyers’ agency Cohen Handler that connects buyers with a property expert who will assist them when they bid at auction.
