The 'Sowers of Justice' group held a 'Food First' conference in Louisville on October 5, 2019. There was a panel discussion of Kentucky farmers at this conference and we recorded it for you to hear! Its a nice blend of agriculture, economics, sociology, history, policy, the environment, and social justice!

The panel was moderated by Hank Graddy of the Kentucky Sierra Club and included Hoppy Henton (KY Tobacco Research Board), Nelson Escobar (La Minga Farm, growing Latin American foods), Maddie Barret Keith (Foxhollow Farm), Mary Berry (The Berry Center), and Wendell Berry (noted author and farm advocate). The first half of the discussion includes Hoppy, Nelson, Maddie, and Mary. The second half of the panel discussion (featuring Wendell and others) will be on our Nov. 1, 2019 episode.
