Alan is an alumni of Downing College, Cambridge and Harvard Business School. He is an entrepreneur and a strategic advisor who has had a deep engagement in India for over 35 years. He was Executive director of Tata Sons, charged with internationalization of the company. He was a special advisor to the British Prime Minister during 1991-1993. He was awarded a CBE in 2014.
