Mara Hill has been attending AUUF since the beginning of her angsty teenage phase in 2004. She became an RE volunteer in 2012, filled out her first pledge form after attending an Annual Meeting where the cost of coffee was included in the budget discussion and signed the book to become a member shortly thereafter. Mara has previously assisted in 4 A's luncheons and the Forum Committee, completed elementary OWL training this past April. During the week Mara works with preschool age children and their families as a mental health clinician at Anchorage Community Mental Health Services. She enjoys reading, hiking, and volunteering on whatever political campaigns her friends are running.

Sid McCausland describes himself as a professional boundary-spanner/change agent. His forty-year career included non-civil service assignments under California Governors Reagan, Brown & Deukmejian—assignments that ranged from crafting environmental legislation to CEO of the California Public Employees Retirement System. In Alaska, he assisted with the financing & right-of-way acquisition for the Anchorage sewerage system after the 1964 earthquake and the refinancing of the bankrupt Kenai electric utility. He is recognized currently for his unrelenting advocacy for folks without homes. Sid has adopted AUUF as his second family.
