We have looked at open primaries and closed primaries, but did you know that there is a third format that a small handful of states use in their primary elections? 

Today we look at multi-party voting, which allows voters to select their preferred candidates all on a single ballot, regardless of party. We look at some of the reasoning and theory behind this format as well as weigh some of the risks and assumptions made by its supporters.
