A smile is not only the best thing we can wear; it is also a stress reliever. It diminishes the heart rate and decreases blood pressure; it releases endorphins, serotonin and dopamine, the happy hormones. But that is not all; the mouth is also a window to our overall health. If there is a health issue, the mouth is the first one to know.
Knowing all this, do you still feel like not taking care of your oral health? I don't think so.
Today, we go through some of the many benefits of oral health, the importance of smiling, and the difference between forcing ourselves to change and getting educated about it. I'm also sharing a challenge that requires only time and a little “work” from you, but that will reward you with substantial benefits to your oral health; you can thank me later.
The idea behind this podcast is not spitting scientific facts about oral health but to use the science I've learned and the experience I've got through 17 years of experience as a hygienist and turn it into practical education you can use to your benefit.
Tune in and listen to the first episode of Grin With Gin, and join me in this journey of healthfulness, education, dad jokes, and happy smiles full of healthy teeth.
