Today I’m thinking of Benny Turner. Benny Turner is a blues musician. The younger brother of Freddie King and was the bass guitarist for the Freddie King Band. After many years as a sideman, Turner started his solo career.

You can tell by the way Benny Turner sings & writes that he knows something about Christmas. “I Want Some Christmas Cheer” Throughout the song, while he tells a story, he keeps singing that line.
