  • Wrestling with God

Can we continue trusting God when we do not understand what He is doing?

In this overview of Habakkuk, Pastor Anthony Achée introduces a prophet who honestly brings his questions, grief, and confusion before God. Although Habakkuk cannot understand why God allows injustice or why He would use Babylon to judge Judah, he learns to trust God’s character, promises, and timing.

This message focuses on three stages in Habakkuk’s journey of faith:

    Grieving in Faith

    Growing Through Waiting

    Glorifying in Trust

Habakkuk’s circumstances do not improve, but his faith grows. He moves from asking how long God will allow wickedness to continue to declaring that he will rejoice in the Lord even if everything around him falls apart. His journey reminds us that faith does not require having every answer. It brings its questions to God and learns to trust Him through seasons of uncertainty.

Big Idea: Faith brings our questions to God and learns to trust Him even when we cannot understand His ways.

  • Anticipating Christ's Return

How should knowing that Jesus Christ is coming again change the way we live today?

In this sermon from 2 Peter 3:11–18, Pastor Anthony Achée explains that waiting for Christ is not passive. Because this present world will not last forever and God has promised a new heavens and a new earth, believers are called to pursue holiness, remain grounded in Scripture, and continue growing in their relationship with Christ.

This message focuses on three truths:

Living with Purposeful Holiness (vv. 11–13)

    Pursuing Peaceful Readiness (vv. 14–16)

Growing in Grace and Knowledge (vv. 17–18)

The return of Christ should be more than a truth we affirm about the future. It should shape our priorities, conduct, and spiritual growth today. While we wait, we are called to live faithfully, guard against false teaching, and use the time God has given us to help others know and follow Jesus.

Big Idea: Because Christ is coming again, we should live with holiness, hope, and steadfast faith as we wait for Him.

  • Hope in the Wait

How should we live when it seems like God’s promise is taking a long time to be fulfilled?

In this sermon from 2 Peter 3:1–10, Pastor Anthony Achée explains why the passing of time does not weaken the promise of Christ’s return. God’s actions throughout history demonstrate His faithfulness, and what may appear to be a delay is actually an expression of His patience and mercy, giving people an opportunity to repent.

This message focuses on three truths:

Remembering God’s Faithful Promises (vv. 1–4)

Recognizing God’s Divine Consistency (vv. 5–7)

Rejoicing in God’s Perfect Timing (vv. 8–10)

Christ will return exactly as God has promised. Until that day, believers are called to trust His Word, recognize His patience as mercy, faithfully follow Christ, and use the time He has given us to share the gospel and help others know the Savior.

Big Idea: We wait for Christ’s return with hope, trusting God’s promises and living faithfully until He comes.

  • Guarding Against False Teachings

How can believers recognize teaching that sounds convincing but leads people away from Christ?

In this sermon from 2 Peter 2:1–22, Pastor Anthony Achée explains how false teachers distort God’s truth, reject Christ’s authority, and promise freedom while leading people into spiritual bondage. Peter warns believers to examine both what someone teaches and the fruit of that person’s life, testing every message against God’s Word.

This message focuses on four truths:

    Recognize False Teachers (vv. 1–3)

Rescue for the Righteous (vv. 4–10a)

Reject Arrogance and Follow Christ (vv. 10b–16)

Remain Rooted in Christ’s Truth (vv. 17–22)

False teaching may sound confident and contain enough truth to appear convincing, but anything that leads people away from Christ will ultimately leave them empty. Believers protect themselves from deception by knowing Scripture, submitting to Christ’s authority, and remaining firmly grounded in His truth.

Big Idea: Believers must remain alert and grounded in God’s Word to recognize and resist false teaching.

  • Standing Firm in the Truth

How can we know that what we believe about Jesus Christ is really true?

In this sermon from 2 Peter 1:16–21, Pastor Anthony Achée explains why the Christian faith is not founded upon myths, speculation, or human imagination. Peter points believers to the eyewitness testimony of the apostles and the prophetic Word inspired by the Holy Spirit. Together, they provide a trustworthy foundation for our faith.

This message focuses on three truths: Peter’s Personal Proclamation (vv. 16–18) Prophetic Promises Proved (v. 19) The Holy Spirit’s Scriptural Source (vv. 20–21)

In a world filled with conflicting voices and competing claims, God’s Word shines like a lamp in the darkness. Until Christ returns in glory, we are called to pay careful attention to Scripture, stand confidently upon its truth, and faithfully live according to what God has revealed.

Big Idea: God’s Word is a trustworthy foundation that anchors our faith in truth amid uncertainty and confusion.

  • Growing by Grace

In a world filled with conflicting voices and competing claims, how can we know what is really true?

In 2 Peter 1:16–21, Peter reminds believers that the Christian faith is not built upon cleverly invented stories. The apostles personally witnessed the majesty of Jesus Christ, and the Scriptures were given by men who spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

God’s Word is a lamp shining in a dark place, providing truth and direction as we await Christ’s return. Because God has spoken, we can trust His Word, submit to its authority, and allow it to shape how we believe and live.

Big Idea: God’s Word is a trustworthy foundation that anchors our faith in truth amid uncertainty and confusion.

  • Growing in Grace

How can believers prepare to remain faithful in a world filled with falsehood, temptation, and uncertainty?

In this overview of 2 Peter, Pastor Anthony Achée explains how spiritual maturity prepares Christians to recognize deception, remain grounded in God’s Word, and live faithfully as they await Christ’s return. Knowing that his death was approaching, Peter urgently called believers to continue growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

This message focuses on four truths:

Pursue Powerful Virtues (2 Peter 1:1–11)

Cling to the Certainty (2 Peter 1:12–21)

Guard Against Deception (2 Peter 2)

Eagerly Expect His Return (2 Peter 3)

Spiritual maturity develops over time as believers grow in godly character, become firmly rooted in Scripture, and deepen their knowledge of Christ. As we wait for Jesus to return, we are called to keep growing, stand firmly upon God’s Word, and faithfully follow Christ.

Big Idea: Spiritual maturity prepares believers to resist falsehood, remain faithful, and live expectantly as we await Christ’s return.

  • Embracing God’s Calling

How can we remain faithful when following Christ becomes difficult?

In this sermon from 1 Peter 5:12–14, Pastor Anthony Achée explains how God strengthens believers through His grace, their shared identity in Christ, and the loving fellowship of His people. The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. God has given us His grace to stand upon, His people to stand beside us, and His peace to sustain us.

This message focuses on three truths:

Strengthened by Divine Grace (v. 12)

Strength in Shared Identity (v. 13)

Solidarity in Love and Peace (v. 14)

When suffering, opposition, or discouragement makes standing firm difficult, believers can depend upon God’s unchanging grace and encourage one another as members of His family. Because we are united in Christ, we are called not only to stand firm ourselves but also to help others stand firm.

Big Idea: Together, we stand firm in God’s grace, encouraging one another as we faithfully follow Christ.

  • Stand Firm

How can Christians stand firm when suffering reveals the limits of their strength?

In this sermon from 1 Peter 5:1–11, Pastor Anthony Achée explains how God strengthens His church through faithful leadership, mutual humility, and steadfast faith. Believers are not called to endure difficult seasons alone. God provides shepherds who lead by example, a church family that cares for one another, and His restoring grace to sustain His people.

This message focuses on three truths:

    Start with Shepherds (vv. 1–4)

    Submit with Humility (vv. 5–7)

Stand Firm in Faith (vv. 8–11)

Although suffering is real and the enemy seeks to weaken our faith, believers can remain watchful and resist him with confidence. The God of all grace promises that after we have suffered a little while, He will personally restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish us.

Big Idea: Christians stand firm through suffering by humbly caring for one another and trusting God’s restoring grace.

  • Sharing the Sufferings of Christ

Suffering should not surprise those who follow Christ. In 1 Peter 4:12–19, believers are reminded that trials are not meaningless interruptions but instruments God uses to refine our faith, deepen our dependence on Christ, and prepare us for glory.

In this message, Charles Marsiglia explains how Christians are called to expect suffering, rejoice when sharing in Christ’s sufferings, recognize God’s blessing in hardship, examine the reason for their suffering, and entrust their souls to their faithful Creator while continuing to do what is right.

Whatever trials we face, we can remain confident that God has not abandoned us. He is sovereign over our suffering, faithful to sustain us, and able to use every hardship for His glory and our good.
