Chp. 14 verses 5 - 22: Pharaoh harnesses his own chariot and gathers his army to destroy the Jewish nation. The people are terrified when they see the Egyptians. They complain to Moshe and there are different approaches as what to do. He assures them that this would be the last time that they would see the Egyptians. They spend the night with the Egyptian army at their back separated by the cloud. Moshe stretches forth his hand and the waters are divided, and the Jewish nation enters the sea.
