BEST BETS NBA Wednesday: 76ers-Knicks, T-Wolves-Spurs & MLB NRFI’s

Listen Later

It’s time for Wednesday Night Second Round Action. We’re locked in on two pivotal Game 2 matchups as the conference semifinals continue.

First up — Philadelphia 76ers at New York Knicks (7:00 PM ET, ESPN)

The Knicks crushed the 76ers 137-98 in Game 1 behind Jalen Brunson’s big night, taking a 1-0 series lead and keeping their historic postseason roll going. Now they host Game 2 at Madison Square Garden, where the crowd will be electric. Philly needs to bounce back fast with better execution and physicality to avoid falling into a deep hole. The Knicks’ defense and home dominance make them tough to crack, but the Sixers have the talent to push back. Eyes on rebounding, turnovers, and whether Brunson & Co. can keep the foot on the gas.

Minnesota Timberwolves at San Antonio Spurs (9:30 PM ET, ESPN)

The T-Wolves pulled off a gritty 104-102 upset in Game 1 on the road, taking a 1-0 lead over the higher-seeded Spurs. Now they head back to Frost Bank Center for Game 2, where San Antonio will be desperate to even the series with their home crowd roaring. Minnesota’s defense and timely scoring (with key contributions from Edwards and Randle) stunned the Spurs, who got monster efforts from Wembanyama but came up just short. Expect a battle of adjustments — Spurs’ star power and home energy vs. the Wolves’ resilience and length. This one could be another close, physical chess match.
