Kalawalla fern. It is seen many places across Jamaica, and regarded by many as a wild plant. Applied chemist Marilyn Lee has been doing research and testing on the plant. “The report says it’s the only plant that offers sun-screen protection,” she shared.She already has a sample product!Lee is the founder Bare Artisans, a small business specializing in natural skin care products. All her products are made with herbs: Soap, lip balm, sanitizer spray, aloe mist, skin tonic, dream cream and many more. “There is an herb for everything,” she said.She told Impacting Jamaica host and CaribShopper executive Catherine Goodall that her strategy is to offer the best customer service to clients. “I feel that if you have a problem and I can solve it, you will find me,” said Lee.
