Best if used by……then a date. It depends on who you talk to if it is really important. Do you toss it or maybe smell it to see what you think? Mold, rot, maybe even bugs……toss it. It can be compared to things in our lives. If something is expired, rotten or full of bugs….ditch it. It can make you sick. It can slow you down. It can hold you back. Moses is talking to the people of Israel in the desert and God gave a best if used by date to them….well actually a must be used by date. It applies to their daily life and walk with God and it does to ours today also.
