Liz Bentley who is the host of Feathers In My Hair and Liz Explains It All (Patreon) podcasts is our guest day. Feathers In My Hair is about MTV's Teen Mom through the lens of psychology, sociology, and Bentley's own life experience in sobriety. We don't discuss Teen Mom in this interview, so don't worry if you haven't seen the show.

Liz Bentley's own story is far more raw and real than a reality television show.  She openly shares about growing up as an upper-middle-class Jew outside of Philadelphia. She started smoking marijuana at 11, drinking and taking Adderall as well as other pills. Her parents were also addicts. After briefly becoming addicted to heroin, she went to rehab and been sober for six years. In this episode, we talk about addiction, recovery,  and how yoga, therapy, and EMDR helped her.

We also discuss being a podcaster, reading reviews, fandom, talking about herself, and why she thinks reality shows are modern-day soap operas. While Liz gets real, there are many funny moments of this interview as well.
