The best video games of 2022 is a long list with a few stand out titles. I will start with my top 5 games of 2022 and move into a longer list of honorable mentions. The GOTY 2022 debate continues to happen about Elden Ring vs God of War Ragnarok even after the results.  I will discuss where I place Horizon Forbidden West, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga along with GOWR and Elden Ring. Then I will give you a rundown of the best games of 2022 beyond just my top 5 video games of 2022. My game of the year 2022 probably won't surprise people, but the order of my top 5 will.  The Game Award for Game of the Year is an award presented annually by The Game Awards.
