Devotional Scripture:

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

3 John 1:2 NIV

As we are in the Christmas season and close to the end of the year, there are many things happening, with the excitement of the season and the anticipation of a new year. However, for some, this time of year is hard to cope with because of the loss of family, friends, and relationships. But today, John writes here to encourage an elder in the faith that he would enjoy good health and that all would go well with him even as his soul is well. That's one of the best wishes we could ever pray for someone.

It might be a great idea this Christmas to give the gift of prayer to someone else so that they will prosper and be in good health. Yes, we are always concerned about each other's spirituality, and that's good, but the physical is also important. Prosperity and health are absolute promises of God for the believer; they are your destiny.

To prosper without health is to live a frustrated life.

Today, my best wish is for your prosperity even as your soul prospers, that God would increase your health and that your days will be long upon the earth, may you see your children's children, and may you prosper in every area of your life in this Christmas season and in the coming year. I decree and declare no evil shall befall thee, and as your days, so shall your strength be! Amen.
