This week I discuss the recent news of abuse of prophetic giftings, clergy SA and neglect on behalf of the leadership of Bethel Church. While this firestorm of stories and allegations is the most recent, it is unfortunately not the exception. A pattern of hands off leadership, complacency and lack of accountability and genuine repentance has spread like yeast among the American Church. 

In this episode I use both personal experience and scripture to provide context and clarity to the role and attributes of a "good" shepherd as well as address the signs that may be indicators that those in ministry may not be Biblically upholding their grace ministries. This episode is to expose injustices (especially to women), to warn and to provide wisdom for the purposes of protecting and guarding the flock from the wolves that have been allowed to exist in our churches and even our pastoral leadership- those in sheep's clothing.

*DISCLAIMER*: The church is and always was Christ's plan A. It is His bride. I LOVE the Church which is why I am so grieved to see cycles and behaviors repeat and continue. This is NOT meant to be an attack on Bethel or any other ministry but an honest conversation of the hurt that has been caused- we can honor and be honest. I believe forgiveness, healing and redemption are available for everyone- THAT IS THE GOSPEL. So, I pray for the perpetrators to experience genuine repentance on this side of heaven. I pray for wisdom and protection over the "good" shepherds and for the comforting and healing spirit of our Lord and Savior to be ever-close and tangible to the survivors of these evil acts.
