I cleared the path to the bar using stealth and a suppressed shot to finally meet Juan. After he introduced Guapo and dealt with a traitorous bartender, we fought through a wave of soldiers together. I followed Juan back to Clara's camp, even testing if I could knock him down with bullets along the way.
I was on my way to Juan to finally get the mission moving, when I noticed another enemy soldier who was a lady patrolling the main road. I stayed low in the tall grass until she turned her back, and then I took her down by slitting her throat before she could make a sound.
Then there was this other soldier who saw the dead body I had just left behind. He started looking for me with his rifle raised, so I opened fire on him quickly, hoping no one would hear the gunshot and come for me in the quiet morning air. Fortunately, no one did.
Then at last, I reached the local bar and found Juan having a drink while he was in a conversation with the bartender. Dani walked up to him and asked if he was the man he was looking for, but he seemed more interested in his beverage than answering Dani's question.
Without replying, Juan turned and talked to his pet crocodile, Guapo, and introduced the wild animal as if it were a common house pet. The creature looked deadly, sitting patiently on the floor of the bar.
Juan seemed to have a strange and deep connection with the beast.
After saying some unnecessary things about the nature of revolution, Juan asked Dani if he could whistle. Danni showed him he could, and that whistle triggered Guapo into action, taking down some enemy soldiers who had just come to fetch Juan.
Juan knew it was the bartender who tipped the soldiers off about his location, and the man was about to shoot Juan from behind the counter.
Juan was faster, and he shot down the bartender instead before the traitor could pull the trigger. The room erupted in chaos as the betrayal was settled with lead, leaving the bar a mess.
Guapo came back toward us, having a part of the leg of one of the soldiers still in his massive mouth. It was a grisly sight that proved just how effective the animal was as a weapon of war.
Now we had to fight dynamic battles as more reinforcements arrived outside to block our escape route. We went out of the bar and we started shooting them while Guapo also ran towards them with his mouth wide open.
I noticed Guapo was doing very well in attacking the enemies and distracting them while we kept shooting them from behind cover. And at last, we took down the last one of them.
After taking down the soldiers, Juan mentioned we should get the hell out of here before the whole f*** army show up to corner us. I had to follow him through the back alleys to get back to Clara's camp safely.
While we ran, it became clear that Guapo was now my pet as well.
While I was following Juan through the jungle, I decided to test this thing to see if I could actually attack him. I attacked him from behind with my weapon and discovered that yeah, I could do it without the game stopping me. I even could knock him down with bullets.
How about we continue in another post?
