The Z3FC is a 16-inch 2.5K portable gaming monitor with up to 180Hz refresh rate, 107% sRGB coverage, a 9.3mm-thick design and a weight of around 780g. Xbox Cloud Gaming is now running through a native homebrew client on the original Nintendo Switch — no Android, no Linux, and no PC or Xbox secretly streaming in the background.

In this video, I test Green-NX, an open-source Xbox Cloud Gaming client built specifically for Nintendo Switch homebrew.

I go through the installation and Microsoft login process, test the available streaming quality settings, check input latency and image quality, compare handheld and docked mode, monitor Switch hardware usage, and test how well it performs during actual gameplay.

Games tested include DOOM: The Dark Ages, Forza Horizon 6, Indiana Jones, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Halo.

IMPORTANT:
Green-NX does NOT run Xbox games locally using the Nintendo Switch hardware. The games are still running remotely through Xbox Cloud Gaming. Green-NX is the native Switch application responsible for authentication, receiving and decoding the video stream, processing controller inputs, audio, and displaying everything through Horizon OS.

For my testing I used:
• Original Nintendo Switch / Switch OLED
• Atmosphère custom firmware
• Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
• Green-NX
• 5 GHz Wi-Fi
• 1080p HQ streaming preset
• No CPU or GPU overclocking

I also tested performance using a mobile hotspot to see how practical Xbox Cloud Gaming can be away from a normal home Wi-Fi connection.

Green-NX is still experimental and unofficial. It is not affiliated with Microsoft or Nintendo. Cloud Gaming availability, supported games, streaming quality, subscriptions, and supported regions can vary depending on your account, location, network connection, and proximity to Microsoft's servers.

PS Vita emulation is now running directly on Nintendo Switch with Vita3K-nx — so I tested some of the biggest Vita games to see how good this brand-new emulator actually is.

God of War Collection, Persona 4 Golden, Mortal Kombat, Rayman Legends, Gravity Rush, Killzone Mercenary, Assassin’s Creed and Uncharted: Golden Abyss — some already work shockingly well, while others reminded me VERY quickly that this emulator is still brand new.

This is Vita3K-nx 1.0.0, the experimental Nintendo Switch port by NaGaa95, running natively through Horizon OS.

For these tests I used an OLED Nintendo Switch with:
CPU: 1785 MHz
GPU: 921 MHz
RAM: 1600 MHz

Performance can change massively depending on the game, emulator version, settings, shaders and future updates. Vita3K-nx is still extremely early, so a game crashing in my test does NOT mean it can’t work in another build or setup.

I also couldn’t test every game people requested because some Vita game installs took 30–60 minutes each and I wanted to get this video out while the release was still fresh.

I Tested Nintendo Switch Emulation to Its LIMIT... It Got Ridiculous

I tested Nintendo Switch emulation directly inside Horizon OS to see how far the original Switch can actually go — from SNES, GBA, PSP and Nintendo DS all the way up to 3DS, GameCube, Wii, Wii U and PlayStation 2.

I tested emulators including Tico, DraSticDS-NX, Cemu-NX, Raika/Azahar, Dekopon, Dolphin-NX and NetherSX2-NX, with stock clocks, overclocking and even PS2 frame generation. Some results were way better than I expected… others turned the Switch into a PowerPoint presentation.

I gave AI one simple challenge:
Build a real Nintendo Switch homebrew application.

No GitHub projects or manually writing the app myself. Just AI, compiler errors, real Nintendo Switch hardware, and whatever happened next.

What started as a simple coding experiment quickly evolved into a multi-agent AI development system capable of writing, reviewing, compiling, debugging, and improving an actual Nintendo Switch application, literally mind blowing stuff.

By the end of this video, AI had built a fully functional homebrew app featuring a graphical interface, file browser, calculator, image previews, file management, and a hidden addon that will be revealed in the video.
