Life is full of suffering. Even the most comfortable lives will feature some pain and anxiety. And in general, the intensity of suffering seems to be more acute than any pleasure or enjoyment. So would we have been better off never being born? This is the uncomfortable question asked by anti-natalist philosophers, who believe that it is immoral to bring new beings into the world.
