Sometimes, praying is hard, especially when we face injustice and suffering of all kinds. Jesus knows this is true! He tells this parable, the story of a powerless widow taking on a powerful but unjust judge, to encourage us to pray without losing heart. The key to perseverance in prayer is seeing how God is both like and unlike the judge in Jesus’ story.
