For Spear Talk 95, we had the honor to welcome Betty Broadhurst to the show! At the age of 65, Betty was recently awarded a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from her coach and world champion, Diego Bispo. Betty is also the creator of Roll Forever, a gym that supports local BJJ practioners in North Carolina by bringing in world class competitors to the area for athletes to compete alongside. Betty is also a licensed pharmacist.

In our discussion we covered the notion that "age is just a number", her reaction (which went viral) to Coach Bispo awarding her with a black belt at a competition, the competitive spirit, the perception that younger women have when they compete against Betty, the importance of BJJ in her life, why she created Roll Forever, and so much more!
