War is a scary thing. People go out every day to fight for their country, and they come home a different person, but some people don't get to decide if they see war, some people are taken from their homes and forced into a situation they never wanted to be in. The story of Betty Lalam starts off as a heartbreaking scary story of a 14 year old, but ends in a success story for many.
