Lots of fun with a great Bad Guy

I haven't read a romance in a while, and "Between the Sheets" filled that gap nicely. It's a very quick read, and the authors keep the plot moving at a fast clip. Romance writer Jenna Brooks is rescued by hunky undercover FBI agent Riley Stone and the narrative alternates between Jenna and Riley's thoughts, which I thought was a nice change, since so many romance novels tend to stay with the heroine's perspective. It's also a fun notion that Riley not only talks like the typical romance hero, he actually LIKES Jenna's books. But my favorite character, oddly, was the villain, Evan. I thought Davis and Marr did a really nice job creating an antagonist who is completely creepy and unpleasant without being heavy-handed. The first scene where Evan tries to to befriend Jenna is really well done--he's quite ucky, but the authors don't tip their hand as to whether Evan is really Bad or just socially skin-crawly. Nicely done!

Love and Danger

What will happen when Jenna learns that he lied? Will she become a victim in this dangerous game? This story grabs you from page one. Jenna and Riley are a perfect pair. They are brave and fearless and their romance is very sensual. The plot moves quickly and the story is filled with danger and the unexpected. Between the Sheets is a great romantic suspense. I loved it!

Another amazing book by the authors.

Moments ago, I just completed reading Between the Sheets and it is provocative, gripping and suspenseful. Some aspects of the book left me eagerly waiting to see what was going to happen next! The romantic encounters between Jenna and Riley were outlined so tastefully that I was able to appreciate the warmth and sensuality that unfolded between these individuals. With that said, now, it is time to go out and find my own Riley.

Perfect blend of suspense and romance

The suspense is so good, with plenty of steamy passion and romance. I love how real the characters are and the way the settings are described. I've read other works by Davis including Marathon and Executive Impulse. I enjoy this mix of danger and intrigue with the very real feelings of the characters. I highly recommend this one.
