In this episode, I take a different path. Instead of stories of people who set meaning to their lives, I highlight the times when we can’t find meaning. The in-between times.
I use the Grimm’s fairytale of Allerleirauh to explore these times, and talk about the ways stories can speak into our lives when other language falls short. I bring in Bessel Van Der Kolk’s book, The Body Keeps the Score, and share a personal story of the place art played in my life when religion’s words failed to reach me. I end with some of John O’Donohue’s beautiful wisdom on renaming the barren seasons as thresholds to new life.
If you enjoyed this episode, please give it a like and a share. And if it resonated with you, I would love to hear from you. Thank you for being here.

Author's Note: If you have listened to the first two episodes you may notice the name change from the original Human Frontier Podcast to Threads & Tea. I have changed the name to Threads & Tea to reflect the name I write under on other writing publications. It's simply more cohesive and keeps my writing Interests under the same name. Thank you for understanding.
