We learn from church history that when a church is teaching and preaching the person and work of Jesus Christ, Satan will try to find some way to attack it directly or indirectly. This still happens in many churches today. If Satan can't destroy the church by the direct attack of persecution, he will try tp infiltrate the church with people who will plant bad doctrine in the minds of the people. Through these people, factions start to form and it can destroy the church from the inside out.

Christ's letter to the church of Pergamum has some valuable lessons from which our church and many other churches who are faithful to Christ should learn and implement.
