How many idols have been pushed on us? Countless, right?

Religious and spiritual idols. Health care gurus. Sports and entertainment icons. Business and tech gods.

Not to mention the false authorities in our personal lives, like parents and schoolteachers.

In the end, they’re people we give our power and responsibility over to, thus avoiding personal responsibility. I can speak confidently on this because I’ve repeatedly fallen for it!

But we are in the era when all masks are slipping, and all houses of cards are crumbling. It’s time to let those false idols fall inside their flimsy houses. They weren’t leading you anywhere anyway.

I’m here to tell you there is nothing better than being your own hero/ine. That’s your gig, not theirs.
