A special presentation of Beyond Books: the St. John's Public Libraries podcast! On March 15, 2018 a special event in the series 'The Once and Future Library' - created to foster dialogue between library-lovers and the literary community about the importance of our public libraries - was held featuring three of the city's top poets.
City councillor Maggie Burton, and former St. John's poets laureate George Murray and Agnes Walsh --- all published and accomplished poets in their own rights - read from their work and spoke about the importance of public libraries. We present a recording of the night in its entirety, featuring Meg Coles (editor of Riddle Fence, the province's journal of arts and culture) as host.
