The lower planetary systems — Atala, Vital, Sutal, Talātal, Mahātal, Rasātal and Pātāal. Demons and Rakṣasas live in these lower planetary systems with their wives and children, always engaged in sense gratification and not fearing their next births. The sunshine does not reach these planets, but they are illuminated by jewels fixed upon the hoods of snakes. Because of these shining gems there is practically no darkness. Those living in these planets do not become old or diseased, and they are not afraid of death from any cause but the time factor. 

निचली ग्रह प्रणालियाँ - अतल, वितल, सुतल, तलातल, महतल, रसातल और पाताल। दानव और राक्षस अपनी पत्नियों और बच्चों के साथ इन निचले ग्रहों में रहते हैं, हमेशा इंद्रिय संतुष्टि में लगे रहते हैं और अपने अगले जन्म से डरते नहीं हैं। इन ग्रहों तक सूर्य की रोशनी नहीं पहुँचती है, लेकिन ये साँपों के फनों पर लगे रत्नों से रोशन होते हैं। इन चमकते रत्नों के कारण व्यावहारिक रूप से कोई अंधेरा नहीं होता है। इन ग्रहों में रहने वाले लोग बूढ़े या रोगी नहीं होते हैं और उन्हें किसी अन्य कारण से नहीं बल्कि काल कारक से मृत्यु का भय रहता है।
