In this episode, Hazel and I explore what happens when we become aware of the judgments and points of view that naturally arise in our daily lives.
Rather than pretending these thoughts and emotions don’t exist, we discuss the importance of acknowledging them, allowing ourselves to experience them, and then consciously checking in with whether they truly serve us. Through awareness, we found that we could quickly shift from reactive thinking into a more empowering perspective—one that brought greater clarity, freedom, and peace of mind.
We also dive into the habit of trying to figure people out: why they act the way they do, why they make certain choices, or why they show up in ways we may not understand. What we discovered is that this often becomes another form of judgment, where we unknowingly expect others to fit our own ideas of how they should be.
By letting go of the need to define, analyze, or fix others, we create space for acceptance, understanding, and genuine connection. More importantly, we free ourselves from carrying unnecessary mental weight and allow our energy to return to what we can actually choose and create in our own lives.
This episode is an invitation to notice your judgments without being ruled by them, release the need to make sense of everyone else, and choose the peace that comes from allowing people—and yourself—to simply be.
