  • What Spooky Things Are Getting in the Way of Your Goals?

Ericka has a new roommate. He's got eight legs, he lives in her living room, and Jason has already decided he wants nothing to do with him.

That's how this episode starts. Where it ends up, none of us saw coming.

Jason tells us how he got into a size 28 pant, and what it quietly cost his family. TQ admits there's one goal he already knows he'll have to grieve. Ericka explains why the tarantula isn't the scary part.

Somewhere in the middle comes a question Jason says he can't answer on his own: how do you know you're quitting, and not just finally letting a goal go?

Six monsters. One of them is probably standing between you and something you've wanted for a long time. We each had to pick ours at the end, and two of us picked fast.

Which one is yours? Tell us in the comments. We're reading every one.

Chapters (rounded from the transcript, adjust to your final cut): 0:00 Cold open 0:08 Welcome back, and meet Bluey 4:23 Why tarantulas aren't the monster 5:50 The Ghost: goals you've stopped texting back 10:26 The Zombie: goals that won't die 13:32 The Vampire: what drains a goal 16:01 The Costume: whose goal is this? 21:18 The Magic Spell: "I'll start when..." 22:33 Hope needs a plan 23:40 The discipline of hope 24:28 The Trap: all-or-nothing thinking 28:14 Pick your monster 29:28 One thing you can do this week 31:12 Sign-off

  • Ep. 24 Does Fake It Till You Make It Really Work?

A nurse forgot to take the tourniquet off before pulling an IV. A friend lied on her resume and couldn't do the job once she got it. A guy sat in a boardroom full of people deciding on six figures and had no idea why he'd been invited. All three stories are in this one, and all three circle the same question: is faking it ever actually the right move?

Jason, TQ, and Ericka take apart a phrase that's been floating around forever — where it builds you up, where it gets someone fired, and the thin line in between. TQ even offers a replacement he likes better by the end.

    ⏱️ Chapters:
0:00 Welcome back + fake it stories
    1:44 Ericka's nursing school story
    2:12 Jason's IV story

  • Ep. 23 Am I Anxious or Just Never Alone in My Thoughts?

Your phone's in your pocket. A screen's in your face. Something's probably playing while you fall asleep. So when your mind won't shut up... is that anxiety? Or is that just what happens when it never gets a break?

Jason, TQ, and Ericka open with a rapid-fire round that'll have you checking your own habits before the real conversation even starts. Then it gets real: where does "getting quiet" actually help, and where does it stop being enough?

  • Ep. 22 When Does Self-Care Become an Excuse?

Self-care sounds simple until you're the one deciding whether that shopping trip, that "me time," or that canceled plan is actually helping you — or just letting you off the hook.

In this episode, Ericka, Jason, and TQ dig into the messy middle ground between real rest and straight-up avoidance. They talk about the phrases we lean on to justify skipping the hard stuff, how anxiety shows up when you're dodging something you know needs to get done, and why judging someone else's self-care from the outside (hi, social media) is almost always unfair without the context.

Jason opens up about his morning routine and what happens when he starts the day scrolling instead of sitting still. TQ talks about how avoidance sneaks in disguised as "just checking email real quick." And Ericka pushes the conversation toward the real question underneath it all: are you resting, or are you running from something?

Spoiler: they don't wrap it up with a neat answer. That's kind of the point.

If this one hit close to home, share it with someone who needs to hear it — and stick around, because we go beyond the questions every time.

  • Ep. 21: Why Are We So Connected and So Alone?

We've got more ways to talk to each other than any generation before us — texting, video calls, every social app you can think of. So why does everybody still feel so isolated?

Jason, TQ, and Ericka sit down with this one honestly. No tidy answers, just real talk about the difference between having contact and having connection, why vulnerability is the piece most of us skip, and what it actually takes to stop waiting for the other person to reach out first.

Stick around for the intro too — Ericka's fur coat confession and TQ's stormtrooper story alone are worth the watch.

  • Ep. 20. How Do We Embrace Challenges?

    How Do We Embrace Challenges?

"Just embrace the struggle" — sounds great on a poster, feels impossible when you're actually in it. In this episode, coaches TQ, Jason, and Ericka get real about the advice they secretly can't stand, the challenges they avoided for years (in-laws, moves, divorce, and more), and what it actually takes to stop running from hard things and start facing them.

    They dig into:

    • The cliché Christian advice that makes them cringe (and why context matters)
    • Real stories of challenges they avoided — for years, in some cases
    • Why "embrace every challenge" isn't always good advice, and when it's actually harmful
    • The difference between resilience and stubbornness dressed up as resilience
    • Why the people walking beside you in a hard season matter more than the phrase "embrace the struggle" ever will
    • One simple question to ask before you decide to fight through — or walk away from — your next challenge

Oh, and Jason got his head shaved at an African-American barber shop this week. You'll want the context for that one.

This is a real, unscripted conversation between three coaches who don't always agree — and that's the point. Learning out loud, together.

  • Ep. 18 What Role Does Community Have in Transformation?

The real transformation happens when you realize you’re not alone. Whether it’s overcoming anger, peer pressure, or the fear of community rejection, our latest episode reveals how meaningful connection ignites change — and why going it alone often leads nowhere.

Imagine discovering that the key to lasting growth isn’t just willpower, but genuine community that accepts your flaws and celebrates your progress. You’ll hear hilarious stories of youthful dares, rafting skits gone wrong, and accidental injuries that remind us how our funniest failures can open the door to real change.

We break down stories behind what makes community so powerful in transformation. Jason shares how internal beliefs and external support—like coaching, groups, or even a simple compliment—can create the fertile ground for you to evolve. Erica offers insight on vulnerability and authentic connection, encouraging you to take small steps—say hi to a stranger or connect via your interests—that can lead to a deeper sense of belonging. TQ discusses how shared goals and “common unity” foster momentum that keeps us moving forward, even when life gets messy.

But here’s the stakes: staying isolated or avoiding community means missing out on growth that could change everything. By risking vulnerability, you open up space for healing, strength, and genuine relationships that propel you beyond mere survival toward thriving.
Whether you’ve faced rejection by a community, fear of being judged, or just don’t know where to start, this episode is your map to finding or creating spaces where real transformation can happen. It’s perfect for anyone tired of going solo, craving connection, or looking for practical ways to move from point A to point B with others guiding the way.

Join us as we explore why community matters—because transformation is rarely a solo journey. Ready to break free from your comfort zone and step into the growth you’ve been longing for? Hit play now.
