Chapter 15: Reshaping the Politics of Health: A Personal Perspective
Warner Adam, a member of the Lake Babine First Nation and Chief Executive Officer of the Carrier Sekani Family Services, talks about how his experiences of living next to a white settlement provided him with the opportunity to walk in both white and Indigenous worlds. This shaped who he is today and his strong conviction that First Nations need to manage, control, and design their own health programs and services if there is to be any improvement in the health of their citizens.

Chapitre 15 – Repenser les politiques en matière de santé – une perspective personnelle, avec Warner Adam
Warner Adam, un membre de la Première Nation de Lake Babine et chef de la direction de la Carrier Sekani Family Services, explique comment le fait de vivre aux côtés d'un village blanc lui a permis d'être à l'aise dans les deux mondes : blanc et autochtone. Son expérience a contribué à façonner la personne qu'il est aujourd'hui et sa ferme conviction que les Premières Nations ont besoin de gérer, de contrôler et de concevoir leurs propres programmes et services de santé, si elles veulent améliorer la santé de leurs citoyens.
