In today’s episode, Linnea and Pastor Chad respond to the question “What does the Old Testament say about Money, Tithing, and Giving?” This is the first of three episodes focused on this topic.
Why are we talking about money? While the Bible references both prayer and faith in almost 500 verses, there are more than 2,000 on money! It’s also the focus of nearly 40 percent of Jesus’ parables. God consistently teaches us about wealth and giving throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.
What we will find from a thorough Biblical survey of money, tithing, and giving is that it is tied to the universal human desire for significance, security, and satisfaction.
