Furthermore, expanded testing helps detect autoimmune diseases through antibodies like Anti-TPO, which can appear years before TSH or T4 levels change, allowing for earlier intervention. Finally, this broader approach helps diagnose issues such as the body's inability to convert T4 to T3 or the influence of factors like nutrient deficiencies and hormonal binding issues that affect thyroid hormone utilization.
