Steven D'Achille is the founder and president of the AlexisJoy Foundation, established in memory of his wife, Alexis, who died from postpartum depression and psychosis in 2013, just weeks after giving birth to their daughter, Adriana.

 Steven went on to play a major role in developing the AlexisJoy D'Achille Center for Perinatal Mental Health at Allegheny Health Network's West Penn Hospital, one of the first facilities of its kind in the region. Since opening, the center has treated more than 20,000 women. Steven has spoken at events including the World Congress for Women's Mental Health in Paris and before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, working to change how perinatal mental health is understood and treated.
