This review examines Sentient by J. Alex Kevern and published by Renegade Games.
Player Count: 2-4
Play Time: 45-60 min
Theme: Building Sentient Robots is easy but programming them to work properly in the network takes a lot of skill.
Game Play: Roll dice and place them on the assigned spaces. Pickup robots from a selection row and place them onto your player board and manipulate the flanking dice according to the card. If the objective to the card is met at the end of the round, you score the victory points listed on the card. Area control comes into play as you have to send agents and possible assistants to secure the robots. Having the most control above certain card slots grants the player investor markers that score at the end of the game.
