Born in a Muslim family, Bhagat Kabir Ji was a socials reformer and a spiritual poet. He is also one of the 15 Bhagats whose baani has been included in Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

He was one who always challenged unfair practices like casteism and was against ritualism.
