John Legend is the first African American man to take home an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards. He's also tied Robert Lopez as the youngest winner at the age of 39

He portrayed Jesus Christ in NBC’s live staging of “Jesus Christ Superstar, Live in Concert.”

He won the Emmy as executive producer for the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice broadcast of the 1970 musical.

Jesus Christ Superstar, Live in Concert" beat the Grammys, the Oscars, the Golden Globes and the "Night of Too Many Stars" a benefit show on HBO

JohnLegend already had 10 Grammy awards, an Oscar for 2015's original song "Glory" from the movie "Selma" and a Tony for co-producing the revival of the play “Jitney,"
